French Cross Five Card Spread – This spread is great for a general reading about your life at the moment. It will be done with the Major Arcana Tarot cards only. The 5th card will be chosen as a result of the addition of the numbers on cards 1, 2, 3 and 4.
The Cards
- 1) The Situation. This card outlines the overall situation or main issue at hand.
- 2) That which Crosses it. This card can support or hinder the first card – like the center of a Celtic Cross spread.
- 3) Advice. A way to move forward.
- 4) Future. The outcome.
- 5) Synthesis. The numerical sum of the other 4 cards, lending overall context to the reading.
